- Ahead of its time. Beautifully written and strangely sensual.
- It was OK, just somewhat dated for my liking. Very slow until the last third.
- A well-written, though dated account of the effect of attraction. A married university professor finds himself attracted to a decorated soldier in the midst of World War II. The pace is slow and the ending a little surprising.
